What is the iroha koharu?

koharu is the slimmest of iroha's insertable items.

We asked the developer of iroha koharu, Ms. I, to gain a deeper understanding of her unique perspective as a developer and some of the aspirations she has for this product.

First of all, what was the inspiration behind the creation of the iroha koharu?

In the current iroha product lineup has a wide variety of external-use items that range from light and easy-to-use items with gentle stimulation like the iroha petit and iroha stick, to high-power motored items like the iroha temari. However, there are only 4 types of insertable items that we have, and among them, there were actually no items that catered to those people who are a bit uncomfortable with insertion or those who have no experience with insertion.

There are many women who feel anxiety or pain with insertion before or after their first sexual experience.

That's why this time we felt the need to develop a product for those who have anxiety or have experienced pain during sexual experiences involving insertion.

We aimed to create an item that would help those who have fears or anxieties with insertion, such as: "I wonder what insertion feels like?" and "I'm worried that it might hurt at first."

What kind of features does the koharu have?

We are particular about the shape that allows you to feel good even when applied externally and you can easily use to practice inserting and removing.

One of the key innovations we introduced to ensure pleasure, even when used externally, include a rounded tip designed to mimic the sensation of fingertip stimulation. We also placed the motor as close to the tip as possible for direct vibrations. Along with that, we introduced a flexible head for enhanced maneuverability.

Could you explain what makes the koharu special?

The thickness of the body part is about the size of a finger, so you don't feel much pressure when inserting it. Additionally, the head part is tapered, inspired by a flower bud, allowing for smooth insertion.

For those who have never inserted anything before, I thought that the thickness of about a finger would not be too intimidating.

Also, we focused on the flexibility of the head.

By making it a shape that flexes without requiring force, I think users can enjoy it without much effort by simply holding it without having to move their wrist.

It's also a distinctive feature that we've used soft pastel hues so that even beginners can use it without feeling intimidated.

The color is characterized by the gentle pink of the BENI and the warm yellow of the HINA. Both colors feel soft and gentle.

What is the difference between this and other iroha insertable items?

the iroha koharu is an item to aid in the practice of insertion that can be used easily by those who have not yet experienced insertion.

The design ensures that you can feel pleasure even when it is just applied externally. So the idea is that it can also be inserted as a bonus feature of it.

"I want to feel the sensation of insertion, but I'm afraid of something too thick”, “I worried about how the item will feel like." This item is for people with such feelings, so it is made only to be as thick as necessary without causing discomfort.

So I'd like you to think of it as an item that helps you “try insertion first” rather than to immediately “feel good inside” like iroha's other insertable items.

Who would you like to use it?

I would like people who are about to have a penetrative sexual experience to use it so they may reduce anxiety and the barriers to insertion. I’d also like those who have experienced pain in previous insertion experiences to use it to help their bodies get used to the feeling.

Once the fear and anxiety of insertion are alleviated, I think you can move on to other iroha items that explore internal pleasure, as well as approach sexual experiences with a more positive attitude.
